Martin Guy Golf Developments has recently taken delivery of a package of course maintenance equipment from the Bennington branch of Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd, Ransomes Jacobsen’s dealer for Hertfordshire. RANSOMES JACOBSEN is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.
The package with a retail value in excess of £180,000 includes two Jacobsen G-Plex III greens mowers, an AR250 five unit articulating rotary mower, an LF3800 fairway mower, a Cushman Turf Truckster together with a Turfco SP1530 top dresser and Gambetti sprayer.
Managing Director Martin Guy, a former Head Greenkeeper at The Hertfordshire, commented,
“This package of equipment will be dedicated to the fulfilment of our course management contract at Rickmansworth Golf Course for Hertsmere Leisure. The equipment from Ransomes Jacobsen will ensure that we do first class job and combined with the support from Ernest Doe, will ensure that we deliver best value to Three Rivers District Council.”
Martin Guy Golf Developments was formed in April 2006 to provide a wide range of course maintenance services. One of the first projects undertaken by the company was the revitalisation and management of the 9-hole course at Briggens House Hotel and Golf Club. Other courses where projects have been undertaken include Hanbury Manor, Crews Hill, Chadwell Springs and the par 3 course at
Broxbourne.
